Chica's story - shared by Tacugama
Chica arrived at Tacugama in February 2006 when she was about one year old. She was handed over by a man who had bought her from poachers, but later learned it was illegal to keep a chimpanzee as a pet.
After healing from her wounds, Chica joined the infant group and later moved into a new group of peers. She’s one of the most curious chimps at Tacugama. Can’t find her? Check the treetops — she’s probably watching to see if food is on the way!
Chica is one of our ambassador chimps — and available for virtual adoption.

Return and Refund Policy
RETURNS
The policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately I can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, the artwork must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.Commissions and artwork on sale are exempt from being returned.
To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.
REFUNDS
Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your return. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of the refund.
RETURN SHIPPING
You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item with a trackable shipping service and please consider using an insurance as well.
I cannot guarantee that I will receive your returned item or that you will get a full refund as stated above.
