"Silhouettes"
The sister piece to the 2026 Wildlife Artist of the Year Finalist "Under Lala Palms".
Again a more abstract pieces focussing on the indescribable feeling of an African Sunset - warm oranges and earthy beiges swirling around a bright sun. Using a mix of flowing watercolors, thick pastels, and cut-out paper to to anchor the giraffe's silhouette into the earthiness and glow of the African Bush at golden hour.
Just as the first piece it is also celebration of the "edge"—that place where you don't know exactly where you're going, but you trust your feelings enough to move forward. Inspired by the indescribable warmth of the African sun, both paintings began with a struggle: I was obsessed with adding leopards, but the paintings said no. That bold, bright orange circle changed everything, shifting the focus to giraffes.

What is a Premium Fine Art print?
Fine art Giclée prints are top-notch reproductions printed with water-based inks on archival-quality and textured German Etching paper (310gsm), which is sourced sustainably.
They closely resemble the original artwork, especially in the case of watercolours, and provide exceptional colour accuracy and detail reproduction.
They are of course not the original, but replicate the luxurious feel of fine art pieces, which I absolutely about them.
Ideal for those seeking an original feel on a budget, without loosing quality.
